The Kenston Bombers lost against the Chardon Hilltoppers back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Kenston lost to the Hilltoppers at home by a decisive 62-47 margin. Kenston has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
When it comes to explaining why Kenston lost, one person who can't be blamed is Alexis Black. Despite the final result, she scored 15 points along with six rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Aurora Young, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
Kenston's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Chardon, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kenston will take on the Rebels at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. South is no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. As for Chardon, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Ohio (Mayfield is ranked 286th, while the Hilltoppers are ranked 305th).
