Franklin had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Westgate Tigers a 9-0 shutout. The Hornets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by nine runs or more this season.

Franklin's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-3. Admittedly, the team didn't face the toughest opposition across those games, namely Westgate, Morgan City, and Morgan City. As for Westgate, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Franklin will host Morgan City at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Westgate, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Westgate Tigers duke it out with Delcambre Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
