Baseball Recap: Washington Wins Going Away Against Oak Forest

The Washington Panthers got the win against the Oak Forest Bengals on Friday by a conclusive 11-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Isaac Perez looked comfortable as he tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

At the plate, Gavin Lawrence was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, three RBI, and two runs. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Camden Augustine was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.

Washington kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Oak Forest only managed three hits.

Washington's record now sits at 2-0. As for Oak Forest, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Washington didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 5-3 loss against De Smet Jesuit on the 22nd. As for Oak Forest, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 12-1 defeat against Glenwood on the 22nd.
