Meanwhile, Hickory Grove Christian put their dominant defense on display in the team's third consecutive shutout on Monday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 42-0 win over Mount Zion Christian Academy. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Lions considering their two-point performance the contest before.
Anthony Hawkins Jr. was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 140 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 7.8 yards per carry. Another big playmaker for Hickory Grove Christian was Kevin Powell, who returned a punt for a touchdown.
