Glens Falls is 8-2 against Schuylerville since January of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. Having just played yesterday, the Glens Falls Indians will head out on the road to face off against the Schuylerville Horses at 7:00 p.m. on January 18th. Hopefully Glens Falls is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Schuylerville in New York (Glens Falls is ranked 154th, while Schuylerville is ranked 351st).
On Wednesday, Glens Falls was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 40-39 to Scotia-Glenville.
Despite their defeat, Glens Falls saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Sarah Wolfstich, who scored 11 points, was perhaps the best of all. Darielle Gooden was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Meanwhile, Schuylerville had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They took down Moriah 44-27 on Sunday.
Glens Falls' defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-5. As for Schuylerville, their win bumped their record up to 3-9.
Glens Falls strolled past Schuylerville in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 by a score of 52-36. The rematch might be a little tougher for Glens Falls since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
