After losing to the Manning Monarchs the last time they met, the Georgetown Bulldogs decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Georgetown took down Manning 61-43 on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Georgetown.
Georgetown's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jari Ford, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ford has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ty Stanley, who scored ten points along with four blocks and two steals.
Georgetown has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 9-10 record this season. As for Manning, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-8.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Waccamaw the next time they take the court. Manning will host Waccamaw at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Georgetown will head out to face them at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
