Hoosier Crossroads recap Oct. 16, 2012
Hamilton Southeastern's Phoenix Badua recorded the longest rushing play in Hoosier Crossroads this season in his game against McCutcheon last week. Badua scampered for 80 yards on the play and finished with 96 on the day as his team beat the Mavericks.
Brownsburg extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Fishers, 31-0. This was the team's ninth consecutive win.
Cameron Polk was the best wideout in the league this week as Hamilton Southeastern defeated McCutcheon. Polk racked up six receptions for 156 yards. Kyle Schrank helped Hamilton Southeastern's passing attack out by catching one ball for 18 yards.
Hunter Hardee was the most productive running back in Hoosier Crossroads this week. In 20 carries, he ran for 151 yards as Scott May's team defeated Ken Frauhiger's team.
T.C. McKiernnan put up the best numbers through the air as Noblesville topped Harrison. He finished with 12 completions for 198 yards and one touchdown. McKiernnan's favorite target this week was Joey Herron, who caught four passes for 73 yards.
On the ground, the Royals' Ryan Ripp has rushed for 901 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Polk. The Hamilton Southeastern star has 29 catches for 669 yards.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Brownsburg and Zionsville. Brett Comer's team comes into the matchup ranked fifth in the state, while the Eagles ranks 17th.
Hamilton Southeastern's Ripp needs only 99 yards against Jefferson next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season.
Fishers suffered a letdown when it was bounced from the state Top 25 this week after losing to the Bulldogs. Rick Wimmer's team had been ranked 23rd, but fell to 26.
