Horizon scored a stunning upset when it knocked off Mountain Range, 32-10. At the time, the Mustangs was ranked 23rd in the state, while the Hawks was 42nd.
The biggest upset of the week belonged to Mountain Range, who took down 23rd ranked Mountain Range, 32-10. Auston Stackhouse threw for 111 yards and three touchdowns in the win.
Dan Pinkston was the best wideout in 5A Front Range this week as Poudre lost to Rocky Mountain. Pinkston tallied nine receptions for 107 yards. Spencer Long helped Poudre's passing attack out by catching two balls for 40 yards.
Caleb Seeton provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Fort Collins bested Fossil Ridge. He completed three passes for 27 yards and also ran for 214 yards. Seeton's favorite target this week was Seeton, who caught one pass for 49 yards.
Dieon Atencio made the biggest impact on defense this week as Bryan Davey's team fell to Horizon. The junior pulled down two interceptions.
Frank Ybarra's team's Stackhouse and Dustin Rivas have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Stackhouse has thrown for 915 yards this season, while Rivas has 25 catches for 599 yards. The Lambkins' Seeton leads the league in rushing yards with 417.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Mustangs take on Fort Collins. At the moment, Mountain Range is in first, while Eric Rice's team is in third.
