Volleyball Recap: Hurricane's Losing Streak Snapped at Three Games

Hurricane came into Thursday's matchup having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against the Dixie Flyers by a score of 3-1 on Thursday. The Tigers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Flyers, too.

Hurricane walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the third set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 20-25, 25-15, 25-20.

Thailand Gubler paced Hurricane's offense, picking up eight kills. Gubler got some help from Bridger Eves and his 27 assists. Gubler also made an impact serving: he shared the team lead in aces with Quinn Hohbein, racking up four apiece.

Hurricane's win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 5-8. As for Dixie, their loss was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-10.
