The Midway Raiders entered their tilt with the Rosewood Eagles with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. Midway strolled past Rosewood with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game 33-19. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Midway also won the last time the pair played last Thursday.
Midway's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from McKenzie Williams, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds. That's the first time this season that Williams pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kara Beth Benton, who scored five points along with eight steals.
Midway pushed their record up to 7-4 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 22.67 points. As for Rosewood, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.
Midway will be playing in front of their home fans against Fairmont at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rosewood, they will head out on the road to face off against Hobbton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hobbton comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last seven games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
