Notre Dame was handed a heart-breaking two-run  loss in their last  matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Rim of the World  on Wednesday. The Titans blew past the Fighting Scots 13-6. The Titans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by seven  runs or more this season.
 Mikey Rodriguez made a splash while hitting and pitching. She  tossed 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off   two  hits. Rodriguez was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-4 with two  RBI and one  double. That's the most  RBI  she has posted since back in March.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Ximena Silva, who  went 2-for-5 with three  runs and one  RBI. Those  three  runs gave  her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Teresa Avila, who  went 2-for-5 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  RBI.
 Notre Dame  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 12  hits. They are 7-1-1 when  they post 11 or more  hits.
Notre Dame's victory  ended  a  four-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 9-10-1. As for Rim of the World,  they are  on  a  nine-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 0-11-1.
 Coincidentally, Notre Dame and Rim of the World will both be playing Fontana the next time they take the field. The Fighting Scots will head out to face the Steelers at 3:30  p.m.  on Friday, while the Titans will head out to face them  at 1:00  p.m.  on Wednesday.
