Softball Recap: Newton Wins Going Away Against Dover

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Sparta, Newton was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They blew past the Dover Tigers 15-1. Considering the Braves have won eight contests by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Newton is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Dover, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.

As of now, neither Newton nor Dover have any future games scheduled.
