Franklin has been on the road for two straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Crestwood Chargers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Friday, Franklin was able to grind out a solid victory over Clarenceville, taking the game 64-52.
Mitch Cronyn was the offensive standout of the game as he dropped a double-double on 25 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Franklin's points. Another player making a difference was Owen Pittenger, who scored 3 points along with 8 assists and 5 rebounds.
Even though Crestwood has not done well against Divine Child recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Crestwood walked away with a 69-62 win over Divine Child.
Franklin's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Crestwood, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Franklin took their victory against Crestwood in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 61-36. Does Franklin have another victory up their sleeve, or will Crestwood turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
