Winner is 9-0 against Platte/Geddes since February of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Winner Warriors will head out on the road to challenge the Platte/Geddes Black Panthers at 6:30 p.m. Hopefully Winner focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Friday.
Winner stacked an 11th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard. They blew past McLaughlin 45-20. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Winner.
Winner found their leader in underclassman Kylie Sachtjen, who scored 13 points along with eight steals. Sachtjen is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last ten games she's played. Cici Watson was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Meanwhile, Platte/Geddes' recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight defeat. They fell 44-31 to Bon Homme.
Winner has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. As for Platte/Geddes, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-10.
Winner took their victory against Platte/Geddes when the teams last played back in February of 2023 by a conclusive 56-35. The rematch might be a little tougher for Winner since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
