Hoboken extended their winning streak to five on Tuesday, bumping their season record up to 8-3 in the process. They were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Union City Soaring Eagles. The Redwings might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by six runs or more this season.

As for Union City, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-10. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

For Union City's part, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Amber Rodriguez, who went 2-for-3 with one triple. That triple marked the first that Rodriguez has hit this season. Another was Natalia Montenegro, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one double.

Coming up, Hoboken will square off against Bayonne at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Union City, they will take on Whippany Park at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
