There's no place like home for the Sweet Home Panthers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Thursday. They secured a 63-58 W over Hamburg on Wednesday. The victory was just what Sweet Home needed coming off of a 77-35 loss in their prior matchup.
Sweet Home's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Erin Clemens-Regan led the charge by dropping a double-double on 19 points and 13 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Clemens-Regan scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Amber Murak, who scored 20 points along with three steals.
Sweet Home pushed their record up to 4-1 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.7 points per game. As for Hamburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Sweet Home will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Amherst Central at 7:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024. Hamburg will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Starpoint at 7:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024.
