The Duncan Wildkats were the 53-50 winner over the Patagonia Lobos when they last played one another back in November of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Duncan fell 43-36 to Patagonia on Thursday. Duncan's defeat continues an unfortunate trend for the team, making it three in a row.
Duncan's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Isiah Sumner, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds, and Isaac Harris who scored ten points along with five steals. Harris hasn't dropped below two steals for 12 straight games.
Duncan has been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season. As for Patagonia, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-13.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Duncan will take on Tombstone at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Tombstone is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak. Patagonia won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against The Gregory School at 7:00 p.m. on January 19th. The Gregory School will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive.
