The Master's Academy Patriots's 16-game losing streak came to an end on Saturday. They strolled past Real Life Christian Academy with points to spare, taking the game 32-13. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Master's Academy has managed all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Master's Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Carissa Hennessey, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. Hennessey hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for six straight games. Alison Viersma was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Master's Academy's win bumped their record up to 2-17. As for Real Life Christian Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Master's Academy on the road again on Thursday and play against Tradition Prep at 6:00 p.m. on January 25th. As for Real Life Christian Academy, they will square off against Central Baptist Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Central Baptist Christian is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games.
