After flying high against the Axtell Wildcats last Friday, the Southwest Roughriders came back down to earth. Southwest fell just short of Brady by a score of 41-38.

Even though they lost, Southwest smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Brady only pulled down six offensive rebounds.
Brady got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Payton Stienike out in front who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and three blocks. Stienike is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Taryn Stearns, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds.
Southwest's defeat dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Brady, their win bumped their record up to 13-10.
Southwest does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Brady, they will head out on the road to challenge Maywood/Hayes Center at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Maywood/Hayes Center is coming into the matchup with seven straight victories at home, so Brady is out to stop a team with plenty of momentum.
