Avery Schaeffer gave up the fewest earned runs he has since back in March on Tuesday. He wasn't messing around, striking out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and not a single walk). The pitching appearance was his fifth straight with eight or more strikeouts.
