After soaring to a 40-point victory in their last game, Holy Cross came back down to earth on Saturday. They fell just short of Camden Catholic by a score of 24-21. Having soared to a lofty 62 points in the game before, Holy Cross couldn't push the score so high this time.
In what's become a running theme this season, Trenton Catholic Academy gave their fans yet another huge victory on Monday. They breezed by Cinnaminson on the road to the tune of 64-34. The victory was just what Trenton Catholic Academy needed coming off of a 67-45 defeat in their prior game.
It was another big night for Mayah Alford, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. She hasn't dropped below nine rebounds for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Kayla Oliphant, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
Holy Cross now has a losing record at 9-10. As for Trenton Catholic Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.
