Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Notre Dame walked away with it. Everything went their way against the Northlake Christian Wolverines on Saturday as they made off with  an  11-1 win. The Pioneers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 28 matchups by six  runs or more this season.
 Madaline Johnson looked comfortable as she  tossed three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in three consecutive appearances.
 At the plate,  Keagan Valdetero was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one  home run, five  RBI,  and two  runs. Those  five  RBI gave  her a new career-high.  Valerie Brown was another key player,  going 2-for-3 with one  home run and two  RBI.
The  victory made it two in a row for Notre Dame and  bumps their season record up to 32-2. Those  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for Northlake Christian, they now  have a losing record of 13-14.
 Looking ahead, Notre Dame will face off against D'Arbonne Woods on Friday. D'Arbonne Woods will roll in looking for their  sixth straight  victory, something Notre Dame surely won't give up without a fight. Northlake Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
