Softball Recap: Fontana Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Fontana, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They put the hurt on the Miller Rebels with a sharp 10-0 win on Tuesday. Considering the Steelers have won four matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Savannah Lira was incredible, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3. She has been hot, having posted three or more hits the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Nevaeh Castro, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Fontana was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Fontana now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Miller, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Coming up, Fontana will be playing in front of their home fans against Rubidoux at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Miller, they will venture away from home to challenge Indian Springs at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. This will be Miller's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
