Islands was led to victory by  Deondrae Hills and  Spencer Shipley.  Hills  went 10 of 22  to rack up 31 points and five  boards, while  Shipley  posted 25  points and six  rebounds. Hills is also on a roll when it comes to  steals, as he's  now  grabbed two or more in the last six games he's  played. Another player making a difference was  Carson Kurdys, who  put up nine points and six  rebounds.
 Islands  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 17  offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  pulled down at least 12  offensive rebounds in four consecutive  matches.
Islands' win bumped their record up to 7-18. As for Groves, they dropped their record down to 4-19 with the  defeat, which was their fourth straight  at home.
 Islands wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  game,  a  77-23  loss against Calvary Day on the 11th. Groves does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
