Central Jersey College Prep will look to defend their home court on Saturday against American Christian School at 4:30 p.m.
Last Thursday, Central Jersey College Prep came up short against New Brunswick and fell 44-33.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Carter Staton, who scored 11 points. Another player making a difference was Cameron Porter, who scored seven points.
Meanwhile, American Christian School came tearing into Tuesday's match with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 71-62 victory over Veritas Christian Academy. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Japhet Santiago continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 34 points. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Kenyi, who scored 14 points.
Central Jersey College Prep's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for American Christian School, they pushed their record up to 11-3 with that win, which was their sixth straight on the road.
