Football Recap: Lisiate Valeti Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Green Canyon

Springville won against Alta last Friday with 27 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Red Devils enjoyed a cozy 27-9 win over the Green Canyon Wolves. Given the Red Devils' advantage in MaxPreps' Utah football rankings (they are ranked tenth, while the Wolves are ranked 40th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Springville's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lisiate Valeti, who rushed for 71 yards and one TD on only eight carries, and also threw for -2 yards and one touchdown. What's more, Valeti racked up 81.9 passer rating, the most he's had since back in September of 2024. Tua Naufahu also helped with two scores in total.
