The Lyle/Pacelli Athletics's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fifth straight loss. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 58-57 to LeRoy-Ostrander. Lyle/Pacelli has not had much luck with LeRoy-Ostrander recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
LeRoy-Ostrander's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jenna Olson led the charge by scoring 12 points along with five rebounds and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Benita Nolt, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 14 rebounds.
Lyle/Pacelli's defeat was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-22. As for LeRoy-Ostrander, their victory ended a eight-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-19.
Lyle/Pacelli didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 58-55 loss vs. Alden-Conger/Glenville-Emmons on the 9th. LeRoy-Ostrander has also already played their next contest, a 67-22 loss against Southland on the 9th.
