Moses Brown's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lauren Bousquet, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Marielle Nassiff, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and five steals.
Chariho lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Keira Frias, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Frias has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Jules White was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with nine rebounds.
Moses Brown pushed their record up to 11-1 with that win, which was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Chariho, their loss dropped their record down to 10-3.
Moses Brown will head out on the road to challenge Cumberland at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Cumberland will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Rhode Island Rankings (they are ranked 26th, while Moses Brown is ranked second). As for Chariho, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cranston East at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Mya Jiminez and Frias.
