On the hitting side, Ava Cherry led a balanced group of hitters, scoring four runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in five of her six plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in hits (three). Another player making a difference was Madison John, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
Even though they lost, Roxana kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. They got six more hits than Gibault Catholic's also-impressive total of 11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Roxana will venture away from home to challenge Staunton at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Gibault Catholic, they will head out on the road to take on Marquette Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
