Baseball Recap: Pillow Academy Takes a Loss

Pillow Academy came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Picayune Maroon Tide, falling 8-2.

Pillow Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aiden Valente, who scored a run while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance gave Valente a new career-high in hits.

Pillow Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Picayune, their win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-1.

Looking ahead, Pillow Academy will face off against Heritage Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The game will give Heritage Academy their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season. As for Picayune, they will challenge St. Martin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
