While losing is never fun, Dallas Thunder can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 376th, while Prestonwood Christian is ranked 106th).
Prestonwood Christian can attribute much of their success to Londyn Oliphant, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 10 rebounds. The matchup was Oliphant's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kierstin Rink, who scored 11 points along with 8 rebounds.
Dallas Thunder's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Prestonwood Christian, their win bumped their record up to 11-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dallas Thunder's road trip will continue as they head out to face Alvarado at 6:15 p.m. on December 8th. As for Prestonwood Christian, they will face off against Lake Worth at 9:00 a.m. on Friday.
