Furthermore, he didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in February of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, one triple, and one run. Those RBI marked the first that he brought in this season.
In other batting news, Silas Stephens and Nikolas Ramirez did most of the damage at the plate: Stephens scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3, while Ramirez scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. That run marked the first that Stephens scored this season.
Williams Field's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Dobson, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Monday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Dobson has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .575. However, it's not like Williams Field struggles in that department as they've averaged .462. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
