Century has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Liberty Falcons at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
Century suffered their biggest loss since December 8, 2023 on Tuesday. They suffered a tough 74-51 loss at the hands of McMinnville. While losing is never fun, Century can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 166th, while McMinnville is ranked 13th).
Despite the loss, Century had strong showings from Alyssa Loza, who scored 20 points, and Kami Carmean, who scored 18 points along with three steals. That was a full 35.3% of Century's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Addison Hawthorne was another key contributor, scoring five points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Liberty's three-game losing streak came to an end on Tuesday. They came out on top against Glencoe by a score of 48-39.
Century now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Liberty, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-9.
Century came up short against Liberty when the teams last played back in February of 2023, falling 52-47. Can Century avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
