The Suncoast Chargers''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Glades Central, falling 41-3. Suncoast has struggled against Glades Central recently, as their game on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Glades Central can attribute much of their success to Taj Barnes, who threw for 186 yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in two touchdowns on the ground. Ar?maud Stinfort and his 109 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Glades Central's victory.
Suncoast's loss was their ninth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 1-7. Sadly, the team can't blame their woes on tough opposition, as that stretch included 1-9 Olympic Heights and 1-7 Royal Palm Beach (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 38.5% over those games). As for Glades Central, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Suncoast will take on South Fork at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Glades Central, they will play host again and welcome Atlantic, where Kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Atlantic presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Glades Central in Florida (Atlantic is ranked 37th, while Glades Central is ranked 311th).
