After a string of four wins, Harlan's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of the Carlisle Wildcats by a score of 4-3. The Cyclones were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in June of 2024.

Harlan's defeat dropped their record down to 16-7. As for Carlisle, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-7 record this season.

Harlan is taking a road trip to face off against Shenandoah at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Cyclones are facing the Mustangs at the right time seeing as the Mustangs are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Carlisle, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Centerville at 5:00 p.m.
