The St. Mary's Crusaders fell victim to the Cascade Christian Challengers''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were dealt a 60-0 defeat at the hands of the Challengers. While losing is never fun, St. Mary's can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon football rankings (they are ranked 112th, while Cascade Christian is ranked 27th).
Cascade Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ashton Moody out in front who rushed for 14 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 132 yards and a touchdown while completing 100% of his passes. Luke Wilson was in the mix too, providing Cascade Christian with three touchdowns.
St. Mary's' defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Cascade Christian, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.
St. Mary's will be playing at home against Coquille/Pacific at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Coquille/Pacific is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Cascade Christian, they will take on South Umpqua at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. South Umpqua is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
