Cane Bay had a senior duo take command as Curtrell Dixon scored 12 points along with 4 steals and Landon Davis scored 15 points. Another player making a difference was Amare Merrell, who scored 7 points along with 3 steals.
When it comes to explaining why Hanahan lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jonah Auckenthaler. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 19 points and 10 rebounds.
Cane Bay's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Hanahan, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Cane Bay will head out on the road to face off against Timberland at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Hanahan, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Charleston Math & Science at 6:00 p.m.
