North Jersey - Meadowlands recap November 19, 2013
Hasbrouck Heights added to the longest winning streak in North Jersey - Meadowlands this week by beating Hopatcong, 44-27. The victory was the 10th in a row for the team.
Waldwick/Midland Park took down Glen Rock 48-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Palisades Park/Leonia's dynamic duo of Adeyemi Da Silva and Taj Huggins proved tough for Cranford to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Da Silva threw for 319 yards and 3 touchdowns and Huggins had 144 yards receiving. Malik St. Hilaire helped Palisades Park/Leonia's passing attack out by catching 5 balls for 103 yards.
He was 22-30 with 1 interception.
Becton's Karriem Royster and Joe Penna led the league in both passing and receiving yards. Royster has thrown for 1,673 yards this season, while Penna has 60 catches for 741 yards. Queen of Peace's Kevin Momnohin leads the league in rushing yards with 1,973.
Hasbrouck Heights' Mike Incremona needs only 9 yards against Cedar Grove next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 125 carries Incremona has accumulated 991 yard this year.
The Wildcats made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 8,568 from 8,945. The improvement was the result of a 19-13 victory over Boonton last week.
