Colton-Pierrepont has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Chateaugay Bulldogs at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Colton-Pierrepont has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
Even though Colton-Pierrepont has not done well against the Larries recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Colton-Pierrepont came out on top against the Larries by a score of 57-47.
Colton-Pierrepont's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Eric Friedel, who scored 24 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Friedel hasn't dropped below 15 points for 11 straight games. Ty Farns was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Chateaugay had to suffer through a rough 73-38 loss at the hands of the Lumberjacks. Chateaugay was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-11.
Colton-Pierrepont's victory bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Chateaugay, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.
Colton-Pierrepont opened the new year with a less-than-successful 53-45 defeat to the Bulldogs. Can Colton-Pierrepont avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
