The Palmer Trinity Falcons scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. Everything went their way against Mater Brickell Academy as Palmer Trinity made off with a 71-48 victory. The victory was familiar territory for Palmer Trinity who now have three in a row.
Palmer Trinity was led to victory by Jake Keller and Graham Yanowitch. Keller scored 20 points along with nine rebounds, while Yanowitch scored 21 points along with four blocks and two steals. That's the first time this season that Keller pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Harrison Miles, who scored nine points along with seven assists.
Several Bulls players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kwabena Jones, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Antonio Medina, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Palmer Trinity has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-8 record this season. As for Mater Brickell Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-8.
Palmer Trinity will head out on the road to square off against Pine Crest at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mater Brickell Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against LaSalle at 4:00 p.m. Hopefully LaSalle focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 last Tuesday.
