Arbor View has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Bishop Gorman Gaels at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Arbor View will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Nevada Rankings (they are ranked 25th, while Bishop Gorman is ranked second).
On Monday, Arbor View came up short against Spring Valley and fell 58-48. Arbor View has not had much luck with Spring Valley recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Meanwhile, Bishop Gorman can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Monday. They claimed a resounding 52-13 win over Palo Verde on the road. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Bishop Gorman has posted since December 19, 2023.
Bishop Gorman found their leader in underclassman Aaliah Spaight, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Spaight hasn't dropped below two steals for eight straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Addysen Carr, who scored seven points along with nine rebounds and four steals.
Arbor View's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Bishop Gorman, they pushed their record up to 16-4 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Arbor View might still be hurting after the 69-47 loss they got from Bishop Gorman in their previous matchup back in December of 2015. Can Arbor View avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
