Basketball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Beatrice

Beatrice put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the Aurora Huskies by a score of 39-31. The Orangemen have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Huskies, too.

Aurora lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Kenna Merrihew, who posted eight points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Merrihew is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least three every time she's taken the court this season. Maddie Ramaekers was another key player, putting up six points along with seven boards and three steals.

Beatrice's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Aurora, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Beatrice and Platteview will compete for holiday cheer on Tuesday. Platteview has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Aurora will take on York in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
