The Baldwin Bulldogs gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. Everything went their way against Paola as Baldwin made off with a 62-41 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Baldwin also won the last time the pair played back in February.
Baldwin's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but COOPER CARR led the charge by almost dropping a triple-double on 9 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists. JOEY ZIEMBICKI was another key contributor, scoring 18 points.
Baldwin's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Paola, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Baldwin will take on Anderson County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Anderson County and Baldwin are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Paola, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Wellsville.
