Plano and Allen are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2018, but likely not for long. The Wildcats will venture away from home to face off against the Eagles at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Plano had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt McKinney on Saturday. The Wildcats put the hurt on the Lions with a sharp 14-4 victory. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Ashley Johnston looked comfortable as she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. What's more, she posted three strikeouts, the most she's had since back in February.
On the hitting side, Darby DeJean was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in February of 2025. Riley Miles was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI.
Plano always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .629. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as McKinney only posted an OBP of .300.
Meanwhile, Allen made easy work of Rock Hill on Saturday and carried off a 13-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won 13 games by six runs or more so far this season.
Yahmadi Morgan made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. Morgan was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Allen got a massive performance out of Alyssa Jackson, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Kate Bettge, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
Plano's record now sits at 12-8-1. As for Allen, their record is now 17-3.
Tuesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Plano hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .349. However, it's not like Allen struggles in that department as they've averaged .437. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Plano couldn't quite get it done against Allen in their previous matchup back in February as they fell 7-3. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
