East Dayton Christian's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight defeat. They suffered a tough 36-14 loss at the hands of Christian Academy. East Dayton Christian was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 23-0.
Despite the loss, East Dayton Christian still got an impressive performance from Ava Baker, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and seven steals. Baker is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last five games she's played.
East Dayton Christian has not been sharp recently as the team's lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Christian Academy, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.
East Dayton Christian will head out on the road to face off against the at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Milford Christian comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 19 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Christian Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Sabers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Dominion Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully the Eagles likes a good challenge.
