ASTEC Charter came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They had to suffer through a 47-13 loss at the hands of the Luther Lions. On the bright side, the 13- point performance marked the Comets' highest-scoring contest to date.

ASTEC Charter's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Luther, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.

ASTEC Charter will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Taloga at 6:30 p.m. on January 9, 2026. Luther has already played their next matchup (against Oklahoma Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
