The biggest upset of the week belonged to Overton, who took down 117th ranked Overton, 26-20. Deanthony Patrick threw for 196 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 125 yards in the win.
Antioch led AAA District 12 in scoring this week after putting up 44 points on Hunters Lane.
McGavock's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Chris Claybrooks helped McGavock's passing attack out by catching six balls for 55 yards.
Robert Russell was the best wideout in the league this week as the Raiders topped the Bobcats. Russell racked up five receptions for 68 yards.
Dustin McAbee made the biggest impact on defense this week as McGavock bested Overton. The 5-foot-11 junior grabbed 1.0 sack.
McGavock's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Raiders feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Patrick has thrown for 846 yards and eight touchdowns this season, while Claybrooks has 19 catches for 258 yards. Patrick also leads the league in rushing with 611 yards.
A big matchup in AAA District 12 this week will be when the Bears take on Terry Anderson's team. Antioch is in first place, while the Bobcats are in third place.
