The Highlands Ranch Falcons can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 75-54 margin over Heritage. The win was a breath of fresh air for Highlands Ranch as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Highlands Ranch was led to victory by Luke Bakken and Olin Anderson. Bakken scored 16 points along with three steals, while Anderson scored 16 points along with six assists and five rebounds. Aidan Snody was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Despite the loss, Heritage still got an impressive performance from Brayden Chaney, who scored eight points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Tanner Terch, who scored 11 points.
Even though they lost, Heritage smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Highlands Ranch only pulled down four offensive rebounds.
Highlands Ranch's win bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Heritage, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-6.
Highlands Ranch will head out on the road to take on Rangeview at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Heritage, they will be playing at home against Littleton at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Littleton will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 222nd, while Heritage is ranked 70th).
