Volleyball Recap: Palmer Wins Going Away Against Venus

Fans were treated to a battle of the Bulldogs on Tuesday. Palmer put the hurt on Venus with a sharp 3-0 win. That looming 3-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Palmer yet this season.

One reason for the win was Palmer's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-12, 25-6.

Kayleigh Easley paced Palmer's offense, picking up ten kills. Easley got some help from Harley Ellis and her 15 assists. Easley also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Lexey Maxwell, racking up four apiece.

Palmer pushed their record up to 7-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Venus, they are on a 26-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Looking ahead, Palmer will take on Riesel in a tournament on Thursday. As for Venus, they will be taking part in a tournament against Benbrook at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
