Corinth Holders will be defending their home turf for the first time on Thursday when they go up against Clayton at 6:30 PM. It might come down to the wire as the game is expected to be close.
Corinth Holders had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. Everything went their way against West Johnston last Thursday as they made off with a 40-6 win. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 24-0.
Meanwhile, Clayton couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a 7-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of Rolesville.
Corinth Holders's victory lifted them to 1-0 while Clayton's loss dropped them down to 0-1. We'll find out if Corinth Holders can add another positive mark to their record or if Clayton can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Corinth Holders's step.
